Mrs. Helen Anderson, age 89, of Marietta, Georgia, formerly of Dahlonega, left for her heavenly home to be with her Lord and join her beloved husband Ed, on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Helen was born on March 6, 1934, in Dahlonega, Georgia, to the late William David Lingerfelt and the late Mary Lou Self Lingerfelt. Helen got her joy from creating a lovely home for Ed and her children. She loved her family dearly and could often be found tending to her flowers in her beautiful gardens.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Edward "Ed" Anderson; siblings Violet Barrett, Evelyn Milton, Wilma Cantrell, Sybil Richmond, Roy Lingerfelt and Ray Lingerfelt; and a nephew Tony Lingerfelt.

Survivors include her children, Debby (Thomas) Cunningham of Woodstock, and Susan (Jim) Anderson of Ellijay; siblings Phil Lingerfelt, Lawrence Lingerfelt, Bob Lingerfelt, and Dora Strain; grandchildren Michael (Hannah) Anderson and Jeremy (Hayley) Anderson; and great grandchildren Sparrow, Josiah, and Maggie.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Sparks officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the service hour.
