Mr. Herbert Bowen, age 89, of Dahlonega passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021.

Mr. Bowen was born in Statesboro, Georgia on March 3, 1932, to the late S.L. and Nancy Wilson Bowen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Mr. Bowen was a veteran and served honorably in the United States Navy for 21 years. He was a member of Cumming Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law Mike and Ariella Bowen of Dahlonega; daughter Tracy Bowen Chesser of Cumming; grandchildren Clay Chesser, Alex Chesser, Brandon Williams, and Justin Williams; and great-grandchildren Alexandra Williams, and Miles Williams.
