Mr. Hilburn Lee Evans, age 93, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at Northeast GA Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Mr. Evans was born in Cherokee County to the late Carter Allen and Beuna Odell Evans.  He was WWII veteran serving in the United States Army and later served many years in the Naval Reserve.  Mr. Evans retired from United Airlines.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Esther Lydia Evans, Dahlonega; daughter and son in law, Sherry and Michael Murden, Dahlonega, and grandson, Keith Allen Murden, Dahlonega.
