Mr. Howard Ernest Tritt, age 100 years, of Suches, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017.

Mr. Tritt was born on November 18, 1916 and was a native and lifelong resident of Suches. Mr. Tritt was preceded in death by his wife Audrey Woody Tritt; mother Addie Tritt Davis; and brothers Willard Tritt and Vernon Tritt.  Mr. Tritt and Mrs. Tritt owned and operated Tritt's Country Store in Suches, GA for many years. The store was a favorite stopping place for hunters, fishermen and travelers. Howard and Audrey had a love for hunting, fishing and the outdoors.  He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughters Linda Tritt White, Suches; Carol Tritt Gooch, Suches; grandchildren Tommy White, Patrick White, Mimi White, and Laura Gooch; great grandchildren Hannah White, Haley Sosebee, Cameron White, and Lydia White.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. The Rev. Gerald Edmondson will officiate.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.  Mr. Tritt's body will be placed in the church at 1 PM Saturday and the family will receive friends there until the time of the funeral.
