Jacqualyn Rose Buchanan, age 85, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Monday, July 7, 2014 at Friendship Health and Rehab following an extended illness. Jacqualyn was born and raised in Indiana, spent most of her adult life in Florida where she was a school teacher, and had spent the past 10 years in Dahlonega, GA. She was of the Baptist faith. She was the daughter of the late Marion and Anise Eads Brown, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Buchanan. Mrs. Buchanan is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Duane and Mary Buchanan of Dahlonega, GA, and James and Joann Buchanan of Hobbs, NM. Five grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren also survive. A memorial service is not scheduled at this time. Online condolences may be made at www.banisterfuneralhome.net.
