Mr. Jake Tyler Voorhees, age 34, of Lumpkin County, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. He was born in Gainesville, Georgia on August 29, 1988, to Vance Voorhees and Cindy Sullens Voorhees.

Jake was passionate about the Drama Club and was an avid reader. He loved nothing more than sitting down and getting lost in a good book.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmothers, Helen Lingerfelt and Joyce Sullens, as well as his paternal grandparents, Jeanne and Sam Voorhees.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother and sister, Kiefer Voorhees and Sydney Voorhees; maternal grandfather William Sullens; aunts Cathy Wilson, Tona Loggins, Michelle Abercrombie, Denise Voorhees, and Jerianne Voorhees; uncles Greg and Frana Sullens, David Voorhees and Calvin Voorhees; nephew Ryker Ray and very special friend Sarah Wells. Numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends both here and abroad also survive.

Funeral services for Jake are scheduled for Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 6:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bobby Whitmire officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 18, 2022, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 4:00 PM until the service hour.
