James "Richard" Biggs, age 62, of Dahlonega, GA passed away on May 31, 2016.

Richard was the son of the late Lenard and Madge Elkins Biggs and was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Richard had a passion for music and friends; he loved to entertain with his music.  But most of all he had an unconditional love for his family, children, and God.

He is survived by his former wife and friend, Martha Flanagan Bower, Dahlonega, GA; son, Chris Biggs, Hickory, NC; daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly Biggs and David Wallace, Dahlonega GA, Ashley Biggs and Chris Stephenson, Dawsonville, GA, Candice and Justin Newell, Murrayville, GA; brothers, JD Biggs, NC, Gary Biggs, TN; sister, Marlene Riddle, NC; and nine grandchildren.  Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Richard are scheduled for 12 Noon Saturday June 4, 2016 at McKee's Chapel United Methodist Church, Dawsonville, GA.

Rev. Tony Holtzclaw will officiate.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home on Thursday June 2, 2016 from 12 Noon to 9 PM, and all day on Friday and again on Saturday from 10 AM until time of service.
