Mr. James Floyd Edge, age 84, of Dahlonega, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022.

Mr. Edge was born to the late Homer and Bessie Grindle Edge on June 16, 1938.  He served in the United States Army Reserves for six years.

Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Hazel Edge, Dahlonega; daughter Renee Smith (Ricky), Dahlonega; grandchildren Matthew Smith (Brooke) and Dustyn Smith (Nicole); great-grandchildren Micah Smith and Maddox Smith; special family Marshall, Amy, Daylan and Dade Anderson; nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, December 29, 2022, in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Darin Cain will officiate. Interment will follow in the Philippi Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Phillip Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM and Thursday from 9:00 AM until service hour at the funeral home.
