Mr. James Harvey "Jim" Neal Jr., age 66, of Dahlonega, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022.

Jim was born in Atlanta on September 8, 1955, to the late James Harvey Sr. and Martha Neal.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth Neal. Jim grew up in Fayetteville, and then in the mid-1990's he moved to Dahlonega and knew immediately he had found his home. He bought his land and built a cabin and never intended to leave. Jim was an avid hunter, and he was a bowyer. He loved to spend time with his dear friends, and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his sister Candy Taylor, nephew James Lee, and fiancé, Deena Reis.

Memorial services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Sunday, June 5, 2022, at Concord Baptist Church.
The Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.
