James Leslie MacDonald, 86, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on November 24, 2024. James was born on August 11, 1938, in New Rochelle, New York, to the late James Leslie MacDonald and the late Marie Shambert MacDonald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Cole, his son, Gary MacDonald, and his brother, Richard MacDonald.

He is survived by his children, Jimmy MacDonald, Rick MacDonald (Kathy), Patty MacDonald, Katherine MacDonald, and Robin Duncan (Doug); niece, Chrissy Blackwell; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the service hour.
