Mr. James Gary Shirley, age 55, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022. He was born in Roswell, Georgia on May 17, 1967 to the late Paul William Shirley and the late Anne Patterson Shirley. James will forever be remembered as a man who was loving, caring, hard working and a man that loved nothing more than helping someone in need.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, William Michael Shirley.

He is survived by his significant other, Margaret Palmer of Dahlonega; stepsons Bryan Palmer and Jeremy Palmer both of Dahlonega; sisters Paula (Bill) Wright of Missoula, MT and Lynn Sutton of Cleveland; nieces and nephews Sandra Lynn Anderson, Eric Wright, Kristopher (Crystal) Wright, Michael Wright, Erin Wright, Karen (Chris) Martin, Michelle Clairemont and Johnny (Melissa) Anderson; grandchildren Braxten, Ellarie and Declan;  numerous friends and other relatives also survive.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
