Mrs. Jane Parham Petty, age 84, of Covington, formerly of Suches, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023.

Jane was born in Dooley County, GA, on January 26, 1939, to the late Erastus and Emmie Parham. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Petty, stepson Mike Petty, and son-in-law Robert Ray. Jane was the last of her siblings to survive. Those who preceded her in death were Lee Parham, Bill Parham, Shirley Jones, and Joe Parham. Jane retired from Southern Bell and was a Zion Baptist Church member in Suches, GA.

Survivors include her children Cindy Ray, Walnut Grove; Ronnie and Debbie Lindsey, Rutledge, GA; stepchildren Ann Faulkner, Tony Petty; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Monday, March 6, 2023, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Oxford, GA. The Rev. David Shelton will officiate. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM in Zion Baptist Church in Suches, GA, with the Rev. Jim Sheffield officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to the service hour Monday at Macedonia Baptist Church.
