Jerry Kenneth Dixon, age 66, passed away on June 29, 2025. He was born on January 2, 1959, in Young Harris, Georgia, to the late James Barton Dixon and the late Bertha Garrett Powers.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepfather, Joe Powers, and siblings Elaine Day and Bobby Dixon. He is survived by his siblings Sidney Michael Dixon and Sherry Wanda Wilson (Zach); nephews Michael Joseph Dixon (Kerri), Raylan Mason Dixon, Savannah Harkins, and Patrick Harkins; nephew Jordan Wilson; aunts Vivian Conley, Evelyn Shook, and Bessie Brown; uncle Bo Conley; and numerous cousins.

Jerry loved bass fishing, especially with his best friend, who was like a brother, William "Hawkeye" Mann.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home at 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 3, 2025, with the Rev. Lyman Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow in the cemetery of New Harmony Baptist Church in Blairsville, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
