Obituary for Jerry Lee Martin

Jerry Lee Martin, 67, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on April 16, 2026.

Jerry was known throughout his community as a fine mechanic with a natural gift for understanding how things worked. He had a lifelong love for the Georgia Bulldogs and could often be found admiring cars and motorcycles of every kind. His easygoing nature, steady hands, and genuine interest in the people around him made him someone others trusted and enjoyed being around.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Authur and Carrie Martin, and his brother, Olen Martin. He is survived by his sisters, Ola Smallwood of Dahlonega and Shirley Smallwood of Dahlonega, as well as several nieces and nephews who will remember him with affection and gratitude.

Jerry's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his stories, skills, and quiet kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 21st at 2:00PM at the Chapel of Anderson Underwood Funeral Home. With Rev. Lyman Caldwell officiating. He will be laid to rest at Oak Grove Baptist Church alongside his loving parents.

The family will be receiving family from 1:00PM-2:00PM on Tuesday.
