Jerry Brance Radford, age 71, of Dahlonega, GA, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega, GA following a brief illness. Jerry was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. He was a self-employed carpenter and was of the Baptist faith. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War. Jerry was the son of the late Marvin and Lou Belle Garrett Radford. He is survived by his sister, Alice Grizzle, Dahlonega, GA; brother, Donnie Radford, Dahlonega, GA; nieces and nephews, Vernon Grizzle, Karen and Daniel Raines, Ricky and Melissa Grizzle, Carol and Justin Burke, and Tyler Radford; great-nieces and great nephews, Blake and Lauren Raines, Brandi Raines, Chase Grizzle, Dillon Grizzle, Brance Grizzle, Annie Grizzle, Amber Burke, and Evan Burke. Numerous other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Jerry are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, August 21, 2015 at the Nimblewill Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. Rev. L.C. Bennett and Rev. Chris Butler will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 from 3 PM until 9 PM, all day on Thursday, and again on Friday until service time.
