Mrs. Joan Thomas Davis, age 76, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023. She was born on August 13, 1946 in Dahlonega to the late Clinton Thomas and the late Edis Anderson Ellis. Joan was caring to everyone she met and always treated people the same way- "extra good".

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Richard Thomas.

Those survived by Joan and who will be missing her most are her husband of 56 years, J.W. Davis Jr.; children Michael (Sonya) Davis and Scott (Danika) Davis; brother Johnny Ellis; grandchildren Noelle Simmons, Sarah Davis and Lilly Lingerfelt; close friend Carolyn Bramblett as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other friends and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Friday, March 3, 2023 in the Chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Lyman Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Davis Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM.
