Mr. Joe Anthony Johnson, Jr., age 43, of Dahlonega, Georgia passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021.  He was born on August 13, 1978 in Duluth, Georgia to Andy Johnson and the late Dorothy Cape Hall. Joe was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Buford and always enjoyed building things, painting, playing guitar and singing. Above anything, he loved his children and always cherished the memories they made.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by a sister, Stacy Baker and a daughter, Skylark Howard Johnson.

He is survived by his children, Jacob Johnson, Emberligh Johnson, A.J. Johnson, Thomas Johnson, McKayla Johnson and Azen Stone, all of Dahlonega; and sister, Trisha Holtzclaw, also of Dahlonega.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 4:00pm at The Reservoir in Dahlonega with Rev. Bill Trotter officiating. Anyone is welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home to help the family offset cremation cost.
