John Thomas Agans, age 41, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on October 24, 2026. He was born on December 18, 1984, in Dahlonega, Georgia, to the late Bobby Agans and Kelly Key Agans.
In addition to his father, John was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Haskel and Inez Key.
John leaves behind his loving spouse, Cindy Goodman; his children, Amelia Faith Crane, Opie Agans, and Owen Agans; his mother, Kelly Agans; his siblings, Robert (Kimberly) Agans, and Chrystal Eriquezzo; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Josh and Cherri Goodman. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
John was a true outdoorsman who loved being outside and enjoyed spending time working on just about anything he could get his hands on. He had a creative mind and a natural ability to figure things out. If something was broken, John was the kind of person you called because, more often than not, he could fix it. He took great pride in working with his hands and finding a way to make things work.
More than anything, John loved his children with all of his heart. Some of his happiest times were spent with them, especially riding four-wheelers and motorcycles and simply enjoying the outdoors together. Those moments with his children were precious to him, and the memories they made together will remain with them always.
John was easygoing, full of life, and someone who could get along with just about anybody. He never met a stranger and had a way of making people feel comfortable wherever he went. He was a man with no enemies, and he was deeply loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His personality, creativity, humor, and genuine love for life left a lasting impression on the people around him. His love for his animals was another reflection of his caring heart.
John was able to leave this world doing what he loved.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2026, at Harvest Baptist Church, with Mark Biddy officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday at Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home.
He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.
