Johnny "J.B." Brady, age 67, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 21, 1958, J.B. was the son of the late Basil E. Brady and Elzie Thomas Brady. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lewis Brady, and his sister, Betty Ann Brady.

J.B. is survived by his devoted wife, Tracy Ricketts Brady; his stepson, Stacy Croy; and several dear cousins who will cherish his memory.

A lifelong member of Philippi Baptist Church, J.B. was a beloved part of the Philippi community. He retired from Fieldale Farms after many years of dedicated service as shop foreman, where he was known for his strong work ethic, mechanical skill, and willingness to help others.

J.B. found great joy in farming, sawmilling, working on vehicles and equipment, and spending time with his family and beloved pets. He was a man who appreciated hard work, valued simple pleasures, and was always happiest when he was outdoors or lending a helping hand. His kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering love for those around him will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends at Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:40 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Philippi Baptist Church with Rev. Jody Winkler officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home to help the family offset final expenses.
