Johnathan Bradley Blackwell, 36, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on October 11, 2026. He was born on July 6, 1990, in Dahlonega, Georgia, to Grady Blackwell and Patricia Lynn Mayfield Spriggs. Johnathan was a simple man who found joy in the things that mattered most. When it came to hobbies, he would say his family was his hobby. He loved spending time with his family, making memories with them, and watching his children grow. Above all, Johnathan was a loving father who took great pride in his sons and the time he shared with them. Johnathan was preceded in death by his stepfather, Michael Ance Pruett; his grandfather, James Robert Mayfield; his granny, Violet Blackwell; and his beloved aunt, Mechelle Mayfield. He is survived by his sons, Gabriel Head and Justin Casteel, both of Dahlonega; their mother, Brandi Michell Casteel; his mother, Lynn Spriggs and Reggie Spriggs of Dahlonega; his brother, James Grady Blackwell of Dahlonega; his sister, Kimberly Diane Blackwell and Chris Passmore of Dahlonega; his sister, Harley Irene Pruett of Dahlonega; his brother, Justin Matthew Blackwell; his sister, Julia Blackwell; and his father, Grady Blackwell; Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives also survive. Jonathan will be remembered most for his love for his family and the simple happiness he found in being with the people he loved. His greatest joy was being a father and watching his family grow. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends at Anderson - Underwood Funeral Home from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Monday, October 19th, 2026, and from 12:00pm until 2:00pm on Tuesday, October 20th, 2026

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday October 20th, 2026, in the Chapel of Anderson - Underwood Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
