Mrs. Jonell Mitchell, age 78, of Dahlonega passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018.

Mrs. Mitchell was born in Owensboro, KY on January 24, 1940 to the late Buck and Wilma Oost Phillips. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Alan Mitchell, daughter Debra Dru Mitchell, sister and brother in law Shirley and Raymond Wells, and brother Fred Phillips. Mrs. Mitchell proudly served in the United States Air Force where she retired after a full career as a Clerk.  After retiring from the Air Force, she was the store manager for Cameron's Pharmacy.  Mrs. Mitchell was of the Methodist Faith.

A time of remembrance for Mrs. Mitchell is scheduled for 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Banister Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the Debra Heaton Scholarship Fund, 2001 Indian Drive, Dahlonega, GA 30533.
