Mr. Joseph "Joey" Wayne Maloch, age 48, of Dahlonega, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023.  He was born on November 22, 1975, to Larry Maloch and the late Frances Hunsinger Maloch. Joey's life was one woven with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Joey is survived by his loving wife, Amanda Maloch, and their three sons, Joseph Maloch, Shane Maloch, and Noah Maloch, all of Dahlonega. He leaves behind a legacy of joy in the form of his grandchildren, Carolina Ebrey, Kannon Ebrey, Hanz Harris, and Grant Crotzer. His memory will forever be carried in the hearts of those who knew him.

In addition, Joey is survived by his father, Larry (Joyce) Maloch, sisters Shena (Rick) Payne and Beverly Roy, stepbrothers John Grizzle and Jacky (Nancy) Grizzle; special friends Dave Croyle and Tyler Wilson. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives who were touched by his warmth and kindness.

Joey was not just a father to his immediate family; he was a father figure to 130 boys and 40 girls who affectionately called him Dad. His nurturing spirit and unending support created a large family network connected by love and respect.

A man of simple tastes and straightforward demeanor, Joey had a passion for storytelling and a love for hot rods. His eyes would light up as he shared tales with friends and family, and his heart raced with the roar of NASCAR engines, with Dale Earnhardt holding a special place as his favorite driver.

One enduring family memory that brings smiles through tears is the time his sisters locked him outside, preventing him from playing with his beloved Hot Wheels. Moments like these define Joey's life—a life rich in love, laughter, and shared experiences.

Funeral services to celebrate Joey's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends and well-wishers are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home.
