Joshua Thompson, age 39, of Dawsonville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. Born on October 23, 1984, in Gainesville, Georgia, Joshua was the beloved son of Debra Gascon Thompson and Tracy LeGrand Thompson.

Joshua was a devoted member of the Mormon faith and actively participated in his church community. His dedication to his faith led him to serve a 2-year mission in England, where he touched the lives of many with his compassion and kindness. Joshua was known for his immense capacity to love and his unwavering compassion towards others. His intelligence was evident in his academic achievements, as he excelled academically, including being the top student in his class at Arizona State University and proudly earning his diploma from Lumpkin County High School.

In addition to his parents, Joshua is survived by his siblings, Kimberly Thompson of Dawsonville, Beth (Chad) Shipp of Utah, Chris Thompson of Utah, Matthew (Paige) Thompson of Dawsonville, and Ashley Thompson of Dawsonville. He also leaves behind a large extended family, including numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives, all of whom will cherish his memory.

Private services will be held for the immediate family to honor and celebrate the life of Joshua Thompson, a loving son, devoted brother, and cherished friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
