Ms. Judith Elaine Lancette, 66, of Dahlonega, went to be with her Lord, July 17, 2017 at her daughter's residence following an extended illness.  She was the proud mother of 4 children and she worked tirelessly for their benefit.  She had a very strong work ethic and worked as a nurse for 45 years.  She will be forever cherished and missed by all that knew and loved her. Go rest high on that mountain, momma.  We love you to heaven and back.

Ms. Lancette was born in Fitzgerald, GA on July 20, 1950, to the late John Wesley and Joyce Helms McDowell. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her great grandson, Jacob Christopher Wimpy.  Ms. Lancette was retired and of Christian faith.

Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Paul and Amy Lancette, Bowling Green, KY; daughters and sons in law Lisa and Buck Wimpy, Dahlonega; Lena and Chris Dowdy, Cleveland; daughter, Kelly Lancette, Cleveland; brother and sister in law, Jeff and Janet McDowell, Dahlonega; sister and brother in law, Linda and Danny Lovett, Leesburg, GA; sister Ginger Jordan, Carolina Beach, NC and 14 grandchildren.

Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, July 22nd, at 4:00 in the chapel of Banister Funeral Home.  The Rev. Jeff Lovell will officiate. The family will receive friends and family from 3:00 to 4:00 prior to the service.
