Mrs. Kayla Howard McCormick, age 25, of Dahlonega passed away Friday, November 22, 2019.

Kayla was born on November 2, 1994 in Lumpkin County. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Marylynn Jean Michaels and Colbort Dorton, and paternal grandparents Clyde and Elaine Howard. Kayla was a graduate of Lumpkin County High School and Brenau University. She loved to be with her family and she had traveled all over the United States with her husband. Kayla was affectionately called "Kayla Bear" by her mom and dad. She was deeply loved by her husband and family. Kayla was the best friend anyone could ever have.

Survivors include her husband Michael McCormick, Dahlonega, and parents Jimmie and Lisa Howard, Dahlonega.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, November 25, 2019 at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service hour Monday at the funeral home.
