Mrs. L E Hill Smith, age 90 of Oakwood, Georgia passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022. She was born in Toccoa, Georgia on June 4, 1932 to the late W.H. Hill and the late Willie Thomas Hill. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Dewey Smith; son David Smith; sisters Cora Mae Pass and Katherine Smallwood; and 2 grandchildren, Chad Burnette and Michael Hatfield.

She is survived by her children, Mary Yvonne (Curtis) Hatfield, Danny (Tommie) Smith, Lonnie (Evelyn) Smith, Diane (Rogers) Puckett, Johnny Smith and Donnie Smith. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home with Rev. Nick Rice and Rev. Michael Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the cemetery of Philippi Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
