Larry Eugene Floyd, Jr., age 50, of Dahlonega, GA, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2013. Larry was born and raised in Cuthbert, GA and had spent the past 15 years in Dahlonega. He received an Associates Degree from Andrew College in Cuthbert, worked in law enforcement for 18 years, and was a member of the North Georgia Amateur Radio Club. He was of the Baptist Faith. Larry is survived by his parents, Larry E. Sr. and Betty M. Floyd, Dahlonega, GA; daughter, Betsy Floyd, Douglasville, GA; sister, Rebecca Floyd Bonds, Dawsonville, GA; and special friend, Ashley Ash, Gainesville, GA. A graveside service for Larry is scheduled for 4 PM Sunday, November 3, 2013 at the Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Lee Roy Hall will officiate. The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 1 PM until 3 PM on Sunday, November 3.
