Rev. L.C. Truelove, age 78, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025. Born on March 13, 1947, in Dahlonega, he was the son of the late William Lee Truelove and Vicie Nell Martin Truelove.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings Virginia Greenway, Harold Truelove, Culean Patterson, Grant Truelove, Alwayne Satterfield, and Sandra Lambert.

Rev. Truelove is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Shirley Truelove; son Jodie (Ashley) Truelove; grandchildren Kaden, Kennidee, Peyton, and Weston; and great-grandchild Maverick. His family was the joy of his life, and he took great pride in each generation that followed him.

Rev. Truelove dedicated nearly 30 years of service to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, working from 1977 until his retirement in 2006. He was also a devoted member of Mill Creek Baptist Church, where his faith, compassion, and gentle leadership touched many lives.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Kris Butler and The Rev. Jimmy Chester will officiate. Interment will follow in the cemetery of Mill Creek Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
