Mrs. Lila Kathleen Carter, age 84, of Dawsonville, GA, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015 in her daughter's home, where she was living, following a year of declining health due to her COPD. Mrs. Carter was born in Atlanta, GA December 8, 1930 and had lived in Dawson County since the mid 1970's. She was a retired secretary and was a member of Goshen Baptist Church in Dawson County. She was the daughter of the late Al Drew Cass and Lera Broughten Cass, and was also preceded in death by her husband, James Carter; and her sister, Elma Gilleland. Mrs. Carter is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Carter, Dawsonville, GA; her son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Robin Carter, Dawsonville, GA; brother, James Benjamin Cass, Alpharetta, GA; grandchildren, Carter and Lee Mason, Caleb and Jordan Carter; great-grandchildren, Ian, Jamie, Daisy, Luke, and Zion. A number of other relatives also survive. A memorial service for Mrs. Carter is scheduled for 3 PM Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the Goshen Baptist Church in Dawson County. Rev.
