Linda "Susie" Kinnard, age 80, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. She was born on July 12, 1944, in Dahlonega, Georgia, to the late Edgar T. Waters and the late Lela Chester Waters.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Meryl Frasure, Clayton Waters, Carlton Waters, Ralph Waters, Opal Southern, Joe Waters, Kenneth Waters, and Wade Waters; as well as brother-in-law Newil Kinnard and sister-in-law Jean Kinnard.

Susie is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Bobby Kinnard of Dahlonega; children Melissa (Matt) Thomson of Dahlonega and Wesley Kinnard of Dahlonega; grandchildren Emily Thomson and Addison Thomson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Bertha Waters, Evelyn Waters, Joyce Waters, Jeanie Waters, Danny (Ann) Kinnard, and Eddie (Deborah) Kinnard. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives also survive.

Susie loved her family, both extended and immediate. She was very giving of herself, always willing to help anyone with anything. As an active member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church, she was deeply involved in the church community. Susie was one of the most loving people you could ever meet.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Phil Demore and the Rev. Gary Moore will officiate. Interment will follow in the cemetery of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the cemetery fund at Wesley Chapel in honor of Susie. Donations may be sent to Tod Keys at PO Box 64, Dawsonville, GA 30534.
