Miss Lisa Ann Castleberry, age 52, of Gainesville, GA passed away Thursday July 20, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Lisa was born on January 27, 1965 in Marietta, Georgia.

Lisa impacted the world in a mighty way. She graduated Osborn High School in Marietta in 1986. She was a Special Olympian in Swimming, Bocce, Bowling, and Ice Skating. Lisa won numerous medals. She worked for many years with Pizza Hut. She loved her family, music, and Jesus. She was a member of Saint Paul UMC of Lumpkin County and Olive Springs Baptist Church.

She was the daughter of the late James Tyler and Lillie Mae Castleberry.

Lisa is survived by her sister, Carol Wittig, Gainesville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, James T. Castleberry Jr. and wife Nancy, Clermont, GA; nieces and nephews, Rev. David Bost, Christy (Lance) Robinson, Amanda (Jody) Deming, Joshua (Leigh) Castleberry and extended family.

The memorial service for Lisa is scheduled for 3 PM Saturday, July 29, 2017, at The Highlands United Methodist Church in Gainesville, GA.

The Rev. David Bost will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the memorial service.
