Mrs. Louella "Lou" Scarboro, age 75, of Dahlonega, GA, went to her new home in Heaven on Friday, November 28, 2014. "Lou" lived in Lumpkin County since 1974, moving here from Miami, Florida. She was a homemaker and member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Dahlonega. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, traveling, volunteer work, and missions work. "Lou" was very dedicated to her church family at Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was dearly loved by her family and church family and will be sorely missed. "Lou" is survived by her husband of 59 years, David E. Scarboro; son and daughter-in-law, David Jr. and Susan Scarboro; daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and Don Kinder; grandchildren, Jessica Hanie, Stephanie Chastain, Joseph Anderson, and Robert Scarboro. Four great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives also survive. A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 6 PM Monday, December 1, 2014 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Dahlonega. Rev. Michael Rodgers will officiate. The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Sunday November 30, 2014 from 1 PM until 5 PM.
