Mrs. Louise Hathcock, age 82, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Saturday November 2, 2013, at Northside Forsyth Hospital in Cumming, GA. Mrs. Hathcock was a native and former resident of Dawson County who had lived in Lumpkin County for the past 20 years. She was employed at the Dawson County Daycare Center for a number of years and was of the Baptist faith. Louise was the daughter of the late Harve and Goldie Whitmire Wehunt and was also preceded in death by her husband, Herman Hathcock; and a son, Ricky Hathcock. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Herman and Brenda Hathcock, Hiram, GA, Lane and Brenda Hathcock, Dawsonville, GA; and Gary and Heather Hathcock, Dahlonega, GA; sister, Ruth Crowe, Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandchildren, Josh Hathcock, Wesley Hathcock, Kimberly and Matt Irvin, Zach Hathcock, Garrison Hathcock, Mackynna Hathcock, Seth and Elizabeth Hathcock; great-grandchildren, Emma Irvin, Morgan Hathcock, and Owen Hathcock. A number of other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Hathcock are scheduled for 3 PM Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega. Rev. Lamar Day and Rev. Marty Abernathy will officiate. Interment will follow in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens in Dawsonville, GA. The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 6 PM until 9 PM and on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 until service time.
