LtCol(USAF Ret.) Isabella T. Lynn died February 28, 2015. Col. Lynn was the daughter of Col. and Mrs. Edison A. Lynn. Raised in a military family, Col. Lynn moved wherever her father's duty took him. In 1957, Col. Lynn received a direct commission as a 1st Lt. in the USAF as part of the force expansion during the Korean War. She served on active duty for 26 years retiring in 1976. In 1977, she came to Dahlonega to make her retirement home here. She was a member of the Lumpkin County Historical Society, The Georgia Trust for Preservation, and the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce. She is survived by 9 nieces and nephews, of which the senior member is Mary Jane Lynn Williams now residing in Portland, OR. She is also survived by her caregivers, Janice Corbin, Nell Bearden, and Sue Dover. Col Lynn was buried at Dahlonega Memorial Park on March 1, 2015 with a brief graveside observance.
