Luther David Justus , age 86, of Dahlonega passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018.

Mr. Justus was born March 8, 1932 in Lumpkin County to the late Luther J. and Elsie Jones Justus. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Mr. Justus worked for the Federal Prison System and was a member of Blue Mountain Lodge # 38 F&AM. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Casteel Justus; son David Justus, brothers Edward Justus, Eldo Justus, Daniel Justus and sister Ruth Justus.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Dixie and Jerry Moon, Dacula; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Crystal Justus, Dahlonega; Robert and Betty Justus, Winston; daughter, Janet Smallwood, Eatonton; brothers and sisters-in-law, L.J. and Marie Justus; Johnny and Joan Justus, all of Dahlonega; brother in law and sister in law Tommy and Robbie Casteel, Murrayville; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Bethlehem Baptist Church. The Rev. Michael Rogers will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-9:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
