Mrs. Macie Booth Brooks, age 79, of Dahlonega, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017.

Mrs. Brooks was born in Bowman, GA on January 7, 1938 to the late Lonnie and Lucy Dickerson Booth. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Bobbie Sisto and brother Robert Booth.  Mrs. Brooks was a loving mother and loved to play a round of golf with her girlfriends.  She also enjoyed water aerobics. Mrs. Brooks worked as a secretary at Reliance Electric and was a member of Dahlonega United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband Benson Brooks, Dahlonega, GA; son Benny Brooks, Atlanta, GA; daughter Cheryl Brooks, Dallas, GA; and sister Helen Wallace, Atlanta, GA.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Steve Schofield and the Rev. Jeff Ross will officiate.  Inurnment will follow at a later date in Arlington Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in her memory.
