Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Hames, age 99, of Dahlonega, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 following an extended illness.

Mrs. Hames was born on May 19, 1918 in Marietta, Georgia to the late Arthur and Margaret Clay Delk.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Harry Owen Hames Sr.; Sister, Jenny Smith; Daughter, Margaret Elizabeth Hames; Son, Duard Delk Hames; Grandson, Duard Delk Hames Jr.Â

Mrs. Hames has lived most of her life in Marietta. She has lived in Dahlonega since 2015.  Mrs. Hames was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church Marietta.Â

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Harry and Judy Hames, Dahlonega; 4 Grandchildren.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11 A.M. Friday, July 21, 2017 at Mountain View Park Cemetery in Marietta, GA. The Rev. Dean Hunter will officiate.
