Obituary

Margaret Ann Toncray, age 75, passed away on June 5, 2026.

Born on January 5, 1951, in Maysville, Kentucky, Margaret spent her early years in her beloved hometown. During her high school years in Maysville, she was a proud cheerleader for the basketball team and enjoyed supporting her classmates and school activities. During her sophomore year, her family relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where she later graduated from Grady High School.

Following graduation, Margaret began a long and successful career with BellSouth in Atlanta. She spent much of her adult life living in Norcross, Georgia, where she built lasting friendships and dedicated many years of service before retiring from the company.

Margaret never had children of her own, but she poured her heart into caring for the many pets that brought joy to her life. Her five beloved Yorkshire Terriers were her constant companions and held a special place in her heart. She also enjoyed raising finches and lovebirds, finding great happiness in caring for her animals. When her cherished pets passed away, she experienced a profound sense of loneliness, as they had been such an important part of her life.

Margaret was preceded in death by her father and is survived by her sister, Billie Jo Richards of Dahlonega, Georgia; her brother, Robert Donehew and his wife, Merrie Beth, of Cumming, Georgia; her nephew, Brian Hamm of Dahlonega, Georgia; and her nieces, Danielle Donehew of Decatur, Georgia, and Kristina Donehew of Boston, Massachusetts. She is also survived by several great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins, and extended family members who will cherish her memory.

Margaret will be remembered for her loyalty to her family, her dedication to her work, and the deep love she shared with the animals that enriched her life. Though quiet in nature, she touched the lives of those around her with kindness and devotion. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew and loved her.
