Mrs. Margie "Diane" Hicks, age 74, of Dahlonega passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021. She was born in Dahlonega, Georgia on March 24, 1947 to the late Balam Craig Reece, Sr. and the late Virginia Woody Reece. Diane was a beautiful soul and lived life showing love and care to all of those around her. Diane loved painting, baking, shopping, and visiting with family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Theresa Cantrell.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Ricky Hicks of Dahlonega; sons, David Ingram, Rodney (Jennifer) Hicks, and Chad (Holly) Hicks, all of Dahlonega; brothers, Craig Reece and Gary (Ruby) Reece, both of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Dakoda Ingram, Lynnzie Cates, JR Cates, Devin Hicks, Katelyn Tompkins, Brently Tompkins, Bradley Hicks, Jaylin Tompkins, and Liam Hicks. Numerous other friends and relatives also survive.

Graveside services are scheduled for Monday, May 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the cemetery of Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Ray officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for visitation on Monday from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
