Mrs. Marie Bertha Fields, age 83, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

Marie was born on July 13, 1942, to the late Buck and Eva Raines. In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, J.W. Fields, and her brothers, John Raines and Jim Raines.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Lisa Haas of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Steven (Julie) Seabolt of Cleveland, Randi (Melanie) Seabolt of Dahlonega, Jessica Patterson of Dahlonega, and Casey Harris of Cleveland. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Cody Harris, Ansley (Josh) Medina Castillo, Wesley Seabolt, Jace (Cassie) Seabolt, Rylee Seabolt, Tucker Patterson, Kelsey Patterson, Dusty Westbrook, Callie Westbrook, Oaklynn Westbrook, Mitchell Harris, Alyssa Harris, Mason Harris, and Amelia Harris; as well as great-great-grandchildren, Lane, Tritt, and Sailor; sisters Lois (Ed) Pirkle, Bernice Taylor, and Ann Chester; sister-in-law Joyce Fields; special nephew Raymond Raines; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive.

Marie will be remembered as a patient, loving, and kind woman whose gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and never missed an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger. She loved playing indoors and outdoors with all the kids throughout the years. That brought her so much happiness. She loved cooking for her family and was known as "granny good beans." She was full of love and  helped  everyone no matter what, she never complained. If you knew Marie you knew love. If you needed someone to talk to or to just sit with she would always be there. Marie was an amazing woman and she will be missed deeply by everyone. She loved the outdoors and in her younger years, was an amazing fisher. She found much enjoyment on a river, pond, or ocean.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 6, 2025, in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home, with Rev. Shane Wehunt officiating. Interment will follow in the cemetery of Cavender's Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
