Martha Carder Grizzle, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on March 15, 2024, at the age of 80. Martha was born on September 5, 1943, in Suches, Georgia, to the late Wyatt Ishamel Carder and the late Ethel Mardell Ridley.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herbert Grizzle; her son, Michael Grizzle; and her brother, Henry Carder.

Martha is survived by her loving daughter, Patricia (Greg) Herold, and her son, Wayne Grizzle, both of Dahlonega. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Lou Carder of Pickens, South Carolina.

Martha found true joy in the simplest pleasures of life. She had a passion for being on the road, finding solace and contentment behind the wheel of her car, especially when it led her to her favorite pastime: shopping. Her spirit found its home in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where she cherished her church family dearly.

Known for her impeccable sense of tidiness, Martha was a dedicated keeper of both home and yard. She took immense pride in maintaining a meticulously clean household and yard, a testament to her unwavering commitment to excellence in all facets of her life.

Funeral services to honor Martha's life will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Kris Butler and The Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate, with interment following at the cemetery of Hightower Baptist Church, where The Rev. Mickey Wheeler will officiate.
