Mrs. Mary Louise Beard, age 76, of Dahlonega passed away December 14, 2018.

Mrs. Beard was born on August 11, 1942 in Harriman, TN to the late Jesse and Hattie Bane.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Martin DeHart , son Michael DeHart, and mother-in-law Rose DeHart.  Mrs. Beard worked hard to help provide for her family. She worked as a substitute teacher, poultry plant worker, and house cleaner.  Mrs. Beard was affectionately called "Granny Louise" by her grandchildren.  She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Marty and Jackie DeHart, Dahlonega; daughter-in-law Jackie DeHart, Cumming; granddaughters Kayla DeHart, Shannon DeHart and Leah DeHart, Dahlonega.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday, December 16, 2018 at the Chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home.  The Rev. Kris Butler will officiate. Interment will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Saturday at Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home.
