Mrs. Mary Inez West, age 81, of Dahlonega, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018.

Mrs. West was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. She was born on September 1, 1936 to the late Doc T. and Alma Cochran Grizzle.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Benny C. West; brothers J.D. Grizzle, R.C. Grizzle, David Grizzle and Russell Grizzle; and sister Opal Satterfield.  Mrs. West will forever be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.  Mrs. West was a member of Nimblewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son Benny Charles West; son and daughter in law Robert and Sandy West; son Randall West; granddaughters Brittany West and Amanda West; sister Doris Weaver; sister and brother in law Ann and Hoyt Ravan; sisters in law Marvene Grizzle, Myrtle Grizzle and Gail Grizzle; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 15, 2018 at Nimblewill Baptist Church. The Rev. Mickey Wheeler, the Rev. Kris Butler, and the Rev. Steve Barrett will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM and Monday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
