Mrs. Mary Ellen Youngblood, age 72, of Dahlonega, Georgia passed away on October 10, 2021. She was born on August 23, 1949, in Clermont, Georgia to the late Mirdia Chambers and the late Lizzi Bogus. She was an outgoing person and she loved the outdoors. In her spare time, she could often be found hunting, fishing, or camping. She was a wonderful mother and will always be remembered as a loving and caring mother who you could come to with anything. In addition to her biological children, she was a mother figure to many of their friends and was also the mother to numerous rescue animals.

In addition to both parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Youngblood, Sr; and siblings, Genell Stringer, Myrtice Priest, Martha Barton, Barbara Abercrombie, Monroe Chambers, Dennis Chambers, Clarence Chambers, and "Big M" Chambers.

She is survived by her children, Cindy O'Malley, and Lonnie Youngblood, II, both of Dahlonega; brothers, Johnny and Samuel Chambers, both of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Trinity Youngblood, Sophie Youngblood, and Chris Moody. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.

A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Hunter officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service.
