Matthew Allen Dix, age 43 of Gainesville, Ga passed away on February 22, 2025 at Northeast Georgia medical center from complications of metastatic melanoma. He was born December 13, 1981 to the late Lisa and Phil Dix.

Matt was a kind, hardworking, and dedicated irrigation technician at New Leaf Landscape Services. He displayed their core values on a daily basis and always had a smile on his face. Matt was also very involved with the North Georgia Works program located in Gainesville, GA.

Matt embraced his life with adventure and strength. His free spirit allowed him to live from his heart no matter the circumstances around him. Some of his hobbies include gardening in the yard, making/listening to music, hiking/exploring different areas and trying to find cool antiques at the antique malls.

Matt is survived by his daughter Bethany "Beth" Dix, sister Kaleigh Evans (Albright), Brothers Bruce and Zachary Albright, Step-father John Albright, Ex-wife and friend Audra Michael (Stancil). Numerous friends and relatives also survive.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In remembrance of Matthew Dix's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to North Georgia Works.
