Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home announces that Mrs. Mattie McEver, age 77, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020.

Mattie was born on February 9, 1943 in Dahlonega, Georgia to the late Floyd Patterson and the late Maud Rider Patterson. She worked for many years as a ceramicist in a dental lab. She was a very faithful Christian and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mattie is preceded in death by her seven siblings, Homer Patterson, Chris Edwards, Ruford Patterson, Leona Rider, Corine Patterson, Ralph Patterson, and Sue Mollohan.

She is survived by her loving husband, JC McEver; children Tim Pelfrey and Tina Cox; step-children, Eric (Tracy) McEver; and grandchildren, Aspen Ziel, Justin Ziel, Christopher Cox, Samantha Pelfrey, Alex Pelfrey, Mathew Pelfrey, Lauren McEver, and Ethan McEver. She is also survived by numerous other friends and relatives.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home with Rev. Kris Butler officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM.
