Mr. Melvin Claude Cain, age 80, of Dawsonville, formerly of Dahlonega passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021.  He was born on April 6, 1940 in Lumpkin County to the late J.C. and Christine Parker Cain.  He is also preceded in death by his wife Barbara Jean Motes Cain.  Mr. Cain worked as a forklift operator and retired from Georgia Freezer.   He was deeply loved by his family and will be missed.  Mr. Cain was of the Holiness faith.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law Thomas and Frances Cain of Dawsonville; sons Eddie Cain of Hartwell, James Cain of Gainesville, and Jimmy Cain of Dahlonega; and several grandchildren and other relatives.

Mr. Cain's wishes were to be cremated.
