Mr. Michael "Shane" Hayes, age 51 of Dahlonega, Georgia passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022. He was born on September 21, 1970 in Forrest Park to the late Lloyd Hayes and the late Patsy Armstrong Hayes. Shane was a man who could make anyone smile, even on the worst days. He loved his family and enjoyed fishing. The one thing he loved more than life itself was his loving wife and best friend, Melissa.

He is preceded in death by both his parents, as well as his best friend, Aaron Head.

He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Melissa Brady Hayes; brothers, William "Billy" Lloyd Hayes and Tommy Hayes; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sandra and James Brady; brother-in-law, Al Brady; nephews, Jeffrey Hayes and Benton Brady ; nieces, Treasure Brady and Danielle Brady; and great niece, Cheyenne Hayes.

It was Shane's wish to be cremated. A memorial picnic will be held from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Yahoola Creek Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Melissa to help with final expenses.
