Mr. Michael "Mike" Wayne Brasington, age 63, of Dahlonega passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021. He was born on October 3, 1958, in Hinesville, Georgia to the late Wayne Brasington and the late Wanda Brown Brasington.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, April Jones and a granddaughter, Avery Hyde.

He is survived by his children, Kurtis (April) Brasington of Dahlonega, Eric Brasington of Dahlonega, Lindsey (Jeffery) Fricks of Dahlonega, Chad (Ashley) Brasington of Dawsonville, and Cassie (Adam) Hyde of Dahlonega; siblings, Debbie (CW) Crouch of Fort Pierce, Florida, and Robin (John) Butler of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Machayla Rider, Jacob Evans, Brieanna Brasington, Ruthie Brasington, Dalton Fricks, Ethan Brasington, Kinsley Brasington, Preston Brasington, Rylee Hyde, Brooklyn Hyde, Paxton Abernathy, and Jerimiah Williams; and great-granddaughter, Aubrey Abernathy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.

A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, October 18, 2021, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home with Rev. Jordan Reece officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the service hour.
