Mrs. Michelle Harkins, age 47, of Dahlonega, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2022.

Michelle was born in Hall County on August 14, 1974. She graduated from Lumpkin County High School in 1992. Michelle was blessed with the gift of conversation and was full of laughter with her sense of humor. She was a faithful worker, working for Walmart for 25 years and was currently working at United Community Bank of Dahlonega. Michelle had a love for country music, shopping, traveling and the mountains.  Being a devoted wife of 27 years and a loving mother was by far her most treasured achievements.  Those to greet her in Heaven are her mother and stepfather Linda and Gary Lawson.  Michelle was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Missing her most will be her husband, Ken Harkins of Dahlonega; daughter Emma Grace Harkins of Dahlonega; father Jerry Gilleland (Kathy) of Clermont; sister Jennifer (Michael) Brown of Dahlonega, sister Dana Gilleland of Wyoming, brother Justin (Elizabeth) Gilleland of Dahlonega, Christine (Aaron) Fisher of Winder; niece and nephews  Kaitlin Bookmiller, Dillion Harkins, Haven Harkins, Avery Harkins of Murrayville, James Brown, Johnathan Brown of Dahlonega; brother-in-law Cory Harkins; several other relatives and special friends Shawn (Robin) Wells of Dahlonega.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The. Rev. Keith Allison will officiate.  Mrs. Harkins will be cremated after the service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
